How age in days is calculated
Your age in days is the number of whole days between your birth date and today. The calculator subtracts your birth date from the current date and divides by the milliseconds in a day (86,400,000), counting only completed days. Each birthday adds roughly 365 days.
Worked example: a person born on 1 January 1990 had lived 13,149 days by 1 January 2026 — 36 years at 365 days each, plus the nine leap days that fell in between. Because the calculator reads the real calendar rather than an average year length, it picks up every one of those leap days automatically.

Why the number changes daily
Because the count runs to today, it grows by one every day. The result is timezone-safe and based on calendar dates, so it ignores the exact hour of birth and counts only full days elapsed.
The hour of birth is ignored, so someone born just before midnight and someone born at dawn on the same date show the same total. If you need hour-level precision, take the day count here and add the hours since your birth time separately.
